LEWISTON, ID - The Lewis-Clark State College faculty and staff welcomed incoming freshman Friday at the new student orientation program.

President Tony Fernández and Dean of Student Services Andy Hanson welcomed the Class of 2016 and spoke about the different services, programs and regulations at the college. Orientation Assistant Nicholas Kordich said he enjoys working with incoming freshman and showing them what he loves about LCSC.

"They're going through orientation today," said Kordich. "So they can kind of find out what's going on around campus and so there's twenty of us that are orientation assistants, and we're all just helping out making sure everything is going smoothly."

Students toured campus and then went to Hells Gate State Park for a beach barbecue. The annual Welcome Fair takes place Monday where local businesses and groups will be on site for the students. School starts on Monday for LCSC.
