Candidate for Clarkston City Council supports Proposition-One & Two

Candidate for Clarkston City Council supports Proposition-One & Two
CLARKSTON, WA - In the only contested race in Asotin County this election year, two local candidates are vying for a seat on the Clarkston City Council.

Brian Kolstad said his interest into local politics started when controversy arose regarding funding for the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center. Now he wants to see that it gets the funding it needs. Kolstad said if elected, he expects to be the voice of contrast, amongst a fairly unified council.

"I'm for Proposition-One which is to look at the three local governments that we have here in Asotin County and see if there's a way that we can make them better," said Kolstad. "And so I'm interested in exploring that option."

Kolstad is also a Freeholder Candidate for Proposition-One. If that measure passes, he'd be a part of the team who'd write up the rules for a unified government.
