Kendall gave $200 to 12 different organizations that car buyers chose.
LEWISTON, ID - A local car dealership came up with a unique way to donate thousands of dollars to local organizations.

During what they call their '12 Days of Caring,' Kendall Chevrolet let customers who bought a car during those 12 days, chose an organization for Kendall to give $200 to.

At the end of the 12 days, they had $16,000 worth of checks to give away, to 12 different groups and organizations. To wrap up the event they held a ceremony to distribute the checks on Saturday. Representatives from each group were invited to receive their checks.

"The charities were chosen by each individual customer, but the beautiful part about it? Every single charity got chosen, so that's awesome right there, that's a beautiful thing," said Kendall Chevrolet and Subaru General Manager, Brad Moore.

The largest recipient of the night was the Lewis-Clark Animal Shelter. They were presented with a check of $4,800.

The giveaways will continue from Kendall. They'll be driving the bright yellow Kendall Cares car around pulling over anyone with a Kendall license plate frame. The person pulled over will get $50, and a charity of their choice will also get $50.
