LEWISTON, ID - A local judge will receive a prestigious award for his work with the mental health court and problem-solving courts.

Nez Perce County Magistrate Judge Greg Kalbfleisch has earned the Idaho State Bar's Professionalism Award, given to only seven recipients in Idaho. ISB Communications Director Dan Black said they're chosen individuals who represent the epitome of professionalism. Recipients are said to possess integrity, honesty and are role models in the community. Judge Kalbfleisch said he is humbled even to have been nominated.

"It just means a lot to have the state bar give me this award," said Kalbfleisch. "And I'm not sure of any other award that I can think of, that would be more important to me at this point in my career."

Anyone in the state of Idaho who holds a license to practice law is eligible for the award, making it an honor to be selected.
