U of I investing for plans to build Integrated Research & Innovation Center

MOSCOW, ID - The University of Idaho's Board of Regents recently got the go ahead to invest $3.6 million to start planning to build an Integrated Research and Innovation Center.

The money will fund the preparatory work, blueprints and cost estimates needed to build. The actual construction will start in 2014, and they hope to complete it by the Fall of 2016, which will make this the first academic building constructed on the Moscow campus in 15 years.

The 52,000 square foot facility will not be the permanent home of any specific department, but university officials said it will house the very best researchers and scientists from the university's 10 colleges.
