GRANGEVILLE, ID - Republican candidate and current Idaho County Commissioner Jim Chmelik said it's time to create opportunities for the future of District 3.
Chmelik says if re-elected, he'll continue to fight for Idaho lands. He says it's time to build a solid foundation and by doing so reestablish trust and provide equal access to opportunity.
"It's time that we stood and said look, we got a story to tell and we need to be part of that," said Chmelik. "I'm watching our kids leave, our kids are leaving all the time, where are they going? Why are they going? There's no opportunity."
The current commissioner said it's time for change. He said it's important to privatize and gain control of Idaho lands so that more money can go towards education and county government services. Chmelik says he won't settle for failure and that he'll continue to represent small government and free market principle if re-elected.

I've never heard Mr. Chmelik say it is important to "Privatize" public lands.  Listen to him him talk about it in is own words at http://www.jimchmelik.com/index.php/sitdown. Â

Hey Jim, Do you want to privatize all public land in Idaho or just the land that your buddies at Western Pacific Timber want? I've spent the last two weeks on these lands you're trying to give away and I see logging trucks leaving all the time, as it should be. Maybe you guys should try spending more time fighting the tree hugger lawsuits and bringing in more timber contracts and less time trying to give the land away. Why don't you just admit this is a real estate scam?

@Ray Anderson Jim Chmelik apparently thrives on going against the tide of public sentiment. 85% of people he talked to in Idaho County are opposed, yet his arrogance compels him to stir the controversy by charging ahead with an ideological agenda. I think he has a pattern of this type of behavior where he knows best, according to those involved in a local charter school, Summit Academy. No, making friends and influencing people is not for Jim Chmelik. He knows best.
Jim, for you: Marigold Outpost is the same as Mary Mangold.
