LEWISTON, ID - You can expect to see 80 mile-per-hour speed limit signs in Idaho starting on Thursday.

The Idaho Transportation Board said they'll try to post the speed changes all in one day but it'll depend on the work pace and weather.

The speed limit will jump up to 80 on rural sections of I-15, 84 and 86. The new limit doesn't take effect until the signs are posted.

Right now there aren't any speed limit changes on I-90. This is the first statewide increase since 1996.
