Legislators stop in north Idaho during Chamber Legislative Tour
LEWISTON, ID - Idaho legislators continued their tour of the L.C. Valley on Monday

The 23rd North Idaho Chamber Legislative Tour provides lawmakers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with industries and issues that are important to the region their touring.

Some of the destinations on the itinerary included Clearwater Paper along with a lunch and tour of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.

"We try to bring as many legislators to north Idaho as we can," said North Idaho Chamber President, Earl Bennett. "And the reason for doing that is a lot of folks in south Idaho never get a chance to come up north and see what we're all about."

Eighty-seven of the 105 legislators took part in the Lewiston events. The lunch at Schweitzer was followed by a jet boat ride on the Snake River Monday afternoon, and all the activities will come to an end soon as the tour wraps up Tuesday in Moscow.
