LEWISTON, ID - Local non-profits need your support as Thursday (today) marks the second annual 'Idaho Gives Day.'

The 24-hour day of giving takes place online and will benefit non-profit organizations throughout the Gem State. Idaho Non-profit Center Executive Director, Janice Fulkerson said the statewide day is also a way to celebrate the awesome work of the non-profit sector, which is always dependent on charitable donations.

"Giving contributions to charitable donations is critical part of how they are able to support their mission," said Fulkerson. "The Idaho non-profit center has raised over $50,000 with the business community across the state. All the non-profits have a chance to win the price poll money. There's three categories, donor appreciation, golden ticket, and the most unique donors."

Last year, Idaho Gives raised nearly $600,000 for more than 500 charitable causes statewide. If you're looking to donate this year, just go to idahogives.org. You'll find that link as well as a list of the local non-profits participating on our Facebook page and our website, KLEW-TV.com
