Idaho Lottery hosts 13th annual “Scratch for Schools” event
LEWISTON, ID - Educators, administrators, and PTA adults from 44 public schools participated in the largest scratch-off Lewiston has ever seen.

The Idaho Lottery held their 13th annual 'Scratch for Schools' event. Everyone who participated in the event was looking to raise money for their school and earn the title of "fastest scratcher" in the greater Clearwater valley.

"They get a pack of tickets to scratch as fast as they can," said Idaho Lottery Spokesperson, David Workman. "The fastest scratching schools can move on to the finals round. They get another pack of tickets another five minutes. At the end of the day someone is going to go home scratching 900 tickets today."

All the schools keep their winnings from every ticket scratched. Last year, the Idaho Lottery returned a record setting $48.2 million back to Idaho schools.
