BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - House and Senate Chambers were closed to the public Friday morning while a pro-gun group visited the statehouse.
Idaho Second Amendment Alliance was at the statehouse to introduce a bill it called Constitutional Carry. Many of the members openly carried their weapons while they visited.
"As a law abiding citizen you have a right to carry your firearm, whether that's concealed, open or otherwise," said Greg Pruett, president of the group.
Members believe residents should not be required to obtain permits.
"What we are basically saying is that you don't need to have a permit from the government or the sheriff to carry your gun concealed," Pruett said.
The group wasn't pleased to hear that the chambers were closed to the public while they made the visit.
"I don't agree with it," he said. "We're law abiding citizens, we're not criminals - that was their decision and I don't support it."

Yha! it's ok for them to carry gun's but when the public has them you better shut the place down! really?
guess they need to post a sign no firearms permitted.
And I agree we should be able to bear our arms any where any way we want, opened concealed, one state to another, the constitution cover's all states! and there is nothing in there that states we have to have permit's to carry! and that's that .
