Local non-profits receive donations from Idaho Gives Back
LEWISTON, ID - The first ever "Idaho Gives Back" day was a huge success raising more than $578,000 for non-profits around the Gem state.

The campaign even brought in money for local organizations like First Book LCSC, The Lewiston Civic Theater and The Lewiston Library Foundation among others. First Book LCSC coordinator said she's blown away by how much money was donated across the state in just one day.

"We raised over $420 and that translates to about 168 books for children in the area," said First Book LCSC Coordinator Kaitlin Cushman. "Underprivileged children that normally wouldn't receive books."

The Lewiston Civic Theater brought in about $1,700 and The Lewiston Library Foundation raised nearly $4,400. For 24-hours people all around the state came together online for the purpose of making charitable donations to the many non-profits in need.
