LEWISTON, ID - The Idaho State Board of Education is back for their annual meeting at Lewis-Clark State College, for a two day conference.

"The board meets eight times a year," said Communications and Legislative Affairs Officer Marilyn Whitney.

Representatives gathered for a work session Wednesday, examining performance measures for higher education institutions.

"On the boards agenda for tomorrow is recognition for 15 schools around the state that the board will be giving awards to for their achievement and progress in the last year," said Whitney

They'll also hear from a committee tomorrow regarding recommendations for scholarship programs for the state.
