LEWISTON, ID - August Nights kicked off with the Rogers Toyota Scion Tune Up Show 'N Shine on Thursday evening.

More than 270 people showed up to show off their cars or simply admire the hard work of those who have maintained their old time vehicles. Both parking attendant Tim Bieker and Owner of Rogers Toyota Scion, Ryan Rogers were so surprised by how many people turned up this year.

"The first year we had about 36 cars and this year I think we have over 270 cars right now," said Rogers. "So we're up about 50 from last year and we still have a couple of hours of registration to go."

"Some people have challenges back all these old cars, the mirrors are real small, they don't have power steering so we try to accommodate all of the drivers as much as we can," said Bieker.

Awards were given away to best in show for both motorcycles and cars.
