LEWISTON, ID - Nez Perce County Commissioner Mike Grow entered a plea agreement in the sexual assault case against him in Valley County's 4th District Court on Monday.
According to court records, Grow entered a plea agreement that did not include the original charge of force-able penetration by use of a foreign object, which he was initially charged with in April of 2011.
Grow was accused of inappropriate actions against a woman he knew at the Tamarack Resort near Donnelly. Court records indicate that as part of a Rule 11 Plea Agreement, the current Nez Perce County Commissioner pleaded guilty to multiple lesser charges of Battery, Second Degree Stalking and Unlawful Entry.
As part of the deal, Grow was sentenced to 180 days suspended for Battery, 90 days in jail with credit for two days served for the Unlawful Entry count and 365 days in jail, suspended, for the count of Second Degree Stalking.
He'll also serve probation in Nez Perce County. Grow will enter a substance abuse rehab facility on Wednesday. Following rehab, he will have 48 hours to report to the Valley County Jail to serve 28 days of his sentencing. Then if approved, Grow will return to Nez Perce County and serve his remaining 60 days in jail or take part in a work release program. After a total of 90 days served, Grow will have four years of supervised probation, along with two years or more of psychotherapy treatment, among other conditions of his probation.

Mike is not a pervert, this was his best friends wife and the object he penetrated her with was his finger, this was not there first encounter. They have known each other since high school . She is an ex stripper and for all you know she may have seduced him when her husband walked in. He pleaded a deal because he cannot afford attorney fees and the time and stress involved in fighting this. His wife stands by him because she knows he would not do this. He may be guilty of infidelity but he is a kind man and would never hurt a woman. If they had enough evidence to prosecute they would not have given him a deal.
