Governor "Butch" Otter at the University of Idaho.
Otter was introduced by University of Idaho President Duane Nellis as part of a showcase for the economic impact of the University's research and the Idaho Global Entrepreneur Mission. Otter said the program's mission seeks to take all public, private and government assets into one synergistic effort. The research and developmental assets will be taken in a collaborative effort from the University of Idaho, Idaho State and Boise.
"We will take that need that continues to grow in the private sector, match those two together," said Otter. "With our efforts in government, in order to make sure that we are the state of the art for the world."
Otter said the $2 million funding investment is important for Idaho's universities to attract and add to the talent the institutions already have.
