Girl Scout Troop offers babysitting on New Years Eve

LEWISTON, ID - A local girl scout troop is offering babysitting services to parents in the community who want to take a night off on New Years Eve.

The members of Troop 2029 of Lewiston and their group leaders are babysitting kids 6 months old to 12 years old at Fingerprints Children's Center. For $40 the 16-year-old girl scouts and two parents will watch your children from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. the next morning. Members of the troop said they are qualified to supervise the New Years Eve slumber party.

"Some of the girls have CPR training and babysitting training," said Madison Winn. "I personally have program aid training which is a program to help me deal with children and play games and activities and fun stuff like that."

"I have a little sister who's eight who I babysit all the time," said Kathryn Scott. "And I have a nephew who just turned one and I babysit him a lot too."

Registration for the babysitting event is due by this Saturday.
