Former employee files tort lawsuit against City of Lewiston

LEWISTON, ID - A Lewiston woman has filed a tort claim against the city following her resignation from the Lewiston Police Department.

Former Lewiston Police Dispatcher Melissa Taylor resigned earlier this year claiming a Lewiston Police officer attempted to have sex with her against her will at a Halloween party.

Taylor alleges that officer Rick Fuentes, who's been with the department for seven years, attempted the unwarranted sexual acts in an elevator on October 30th of 2010.

Taylor claims she suffered from discrimination and harassment from city officials because of the alleged incident.

LPD said the party was not sanctioned by the department, but was organized by some employees.
