Flames scorch about thirty acres of land in Asotin
ASOTIN, WA - Flames scorched about thirty acres of land on Saturday when a fire broke out on the hillside seven miles past downtown Asotin.

Asotin County Fire District One arrived on scene just after 6 p.m. Asotin County Fire Assistant Chief Mike Hohman stationed firefighters above the ridge and down on the ground. With the help of crews from Blue Mountain Fire and the City Of Asotin, they knocked down some of the blaze from up top. The next couple of hours were spent waiting for the flames to burn themselves out. The cause of the fire is unknown.
