Protestors outline demands in letter to Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo protestors on Friday.

LEWISTON, ID - A group of protesters hit the streets Friday after they submitted a letter to Wells Fargo.

The letter was written by members of the Idaho Community Action Network to help start the kickoff for their fair lending campaign. The letter was addressed to President and CEO of Wells Fargo and Company John Stumpf. The group demanded Wells Fargo provide principal reduction to reset the economy, pay for their shares, create jobs, treat workers fairly, pledge to keep their money out of election campaigns and fund the future.

"Us regular folks are losing our hard earned money to these lending companies and we're just tired of it," said concerned citizen Ruben Thorhock.

The group ended the letter by saying they demand that Wells Fargo voluntarily make these adjustments immediately and begin working with our disenfranchised population to start rebuilding a self sustaining and just economy that works for all Idahoans.
