Ehler faces multiple felony charges from kidnapping last summer
LEWISTON, ID - A Lewiston man will appear in Second District Court on six-felony charges in connection with the kidnapping of three people last summer.

Roger Ehler, 56, will appear in Clearwater County Second District Court on December 4th for the alleged kidnapping of a six-year-old and two men after he forced the three into a minivan and demanded a ride to Orofino. After a brief standoff, the minivan was intercepted by law enforcement and Ehler was taken into custody and transported to the Clearwater County Jail where Ehler is being held on a $600,000 bond.

Ehler faces three counts of first-degree kidnapping, one count of aggravated battery, one count of injury to a child and one count of possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, all of which are felonies.

Ehler also faces three misdemeanor counts for exhibiting a deadly weapon, resisting or obstructing officers and disturbing the peace.

He'll appear before Judge Michael Griffen for his preliminary hearing Tuesday December 4th at 1 p.m.
