Deer hunting season is fast approaching in Idaho

Deer hunting season is fast approaching in Idaho
LEWISTON, ID - For many, fall is often synonymous with hunting.

In Idaho several hunting seasons are about to open up. Deer season opens October 10th in most of Idaho. But if you're thinking about heading out, all hunters must have a valid 2013 Idaho hunting license and a deer tag.

Idaho Department of Fish and Game leaders ask that hunters report any poaching or suspicious activities. In addition to deer, here are a few other seasons kicking off. Sharp-tailed grouse season opened on Tuesday and will run through the end of the month. Waterfowl season opens throughout the state on October 12th. And then once again deer season opens October 10th in most regions of Idaho

Before you head out make sure to check the 2013 Idaho Rules Brochure, as different rules apply to different areas.
