Silver’s 30 years as a certified public account make her the best candidate for the job.
LEWISTON, ID - Democratic hopeful Deborah Silver is running for Idaho State Treasurer.

Incumbent Ron Crane is seeking his fifth term. Silver said it's time for more transparency and more accountability, qualities she said are missing from the current treasurer.

"He's been in a lot of trouble riding around in limousines in New York and has a gas card that's not accountable," said Silver. "And we need to have elected officials who are acting like there is a crisis with education and every dollar should be going there and we should be thinking about that."

Silver was born in Twin Falls and grew up in Jerome. She was a teacher for five years and a CPA for more than 30.
