Now is a great time to donate those crutches you’re not using anymore.
MOSCOW, ID - The Disability Action Center in Moscow help the disabled live independently, but the non-profit organization needs help from the community.

If you have new or gently used medical equipment you don't need anymore, you can donate it to the Disability Action Center. They'll give it to someone who needs it, but can't afford to buy their own.

"It gives the individuals with a disability to have the freedom to do their daily activities at their own pace and when they want to do them," said Moscow DAC Staff Member James Pickard.

They're looking for things like electric or manual wheelchairs, walkers, bath seats, support rails, commodes, toilet seat risers, canes and crutches.

If you'd like to drop off a donation, the Disability Action Center is at 505 North Main Street in Moscow. They accept donations Wednesday 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

You can see what equipment is available at the Idaho Assistive Technology for All website.
