LEWISTON, ID - Two men are now in custody in South Africa, accused of playing a part in the kidnapping and murder of a well-respected nun who grew up in Cottonwood.

Almost a thousand people gathered in South Africa Monday to pay their respects to Sister Mary Paule Tacke, who's been described by many as "Our Own Mother Theresa."

Police said Tacke was kidnapped and murdered in South Africa over a week ago.

According to South African online news-source "Dispatch Live," two suspects have been arrested in connection with her murder. While mourners attended a memorial service Tuesday, others went to court where one of the nun's suspected killers appeared.

Both suspects will appear in court on July fourth for their scheduled trial date. They're both facing charges of murder, kidnapping and robbery.
