Winco plans a pre-Thanksgiving opening in November.
LEWISTON, ID - Construction on the new Lewiston Winco store is still going on, but the end is in sight.

Vice President of Public and Legal Affairs Michael Read said they're on track for the projected end date in late fall. Construction started in February with the demolition of the old building. The store has now taken shape and crews are working on a new parking lot. Read said Winco anticipates a pre-holiday opening.

"We are on track and plan to open the Lewiston store probably in November, and it would be before Thanksgiving," said Read. "It's about a 59,000 square foot store, which we think is ideal for that community and the population base."

The Lewiston store will be slightly larger than the one in Moscow, and Read said they plan to hire around 150-people.
