CLARKSTON, WA - A ballot Initiative to decrease public school class sizes will be on the November ballot in Washington State.

Secretary of State Kim Wyman said there are enough qualified signatures for the Initiative. The class size proposal would require smaller classes at every grade level.

Jim Fry with the Clarkston School District said that the idea sounds good, but it's not easy. Districts have to hire more teachers, have more classrooms, and buy additional materials. Fry said if the Initiative passes in November, the legislature will need to help the Clarkston School District with funding to support that decision.
