The school district is currently trying to pass a $38 million bond that's collected over 25-years. For primary use toward the reconstruction of the east wing of Clarkston High School. The maintenance and operations levy is for nearly five million dollars. That money goes toward teaching materials, transportation and other necessities.
"We really don't know until we have the money," said Clarkston School District Superintendent, Darcy Weisner. "It takes a whole year for architectural design and ed specs to be done before we can actually break ground so there's a lot of work to be done."
The first town hall meeting is Wednesday January 15th. There's also one at the beginning of February. The question and answer session takes place at 7 p.m. at the Walla-Walla Community College Lecture Hall.
