CLARKSTON, WA - A 23-year-old Clarkston woman may have been trafficking narcotics before her arrest Wednesday.

Asotin County Under-Sheriff Scott Coppess said Jessica D. Lehmons was driving on 16th street parallel to Fleshman Way when an officer clocked her speeding more than 60 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. Lehmons allegedly attempted to elude the officer before crashing into a fence.

Lehmons was initially arrested for driving without a license and eluding an officer. However after searching the vehicle, the Asotin County Sheriff's Office located approximately 3 grams of methamphetamine.

"With the amount of the drugs that were found, the amount of packaging material, these were all indicators that would point to the sale of narcotics," said Asotin County Under sheriff Scott Coppess.

Lehmons bond was set at $25,000. She'll remain at the Asotin County Jail until her next court appearance on August 20th.
