Congratulations CHS graduating class of 2014

Congratulations CHS graduating class of 2014
CLARKSTON, WA - A big congrats to Clarkston High School graduating seniors.

Reporter Carol Zinke spent Friday morning with the class of 2014. She tells us about the class that the principal said is an outstanding one.

153 seniors will be walking to get their diplomas on Adams field Saturday night. I got to watch them through rehearsal Friday and most of them seemed pretty excited.

"I'm just looking forward to a good end to everything I've been through in high school and celebrating everything I've accomplished," said CHS Senior Valedictorian, Caleb Latella. "I'm ready to move on to the next step in life and celebrate with my family."

Clarkston's average graduation rate is a little over 90%. Principal Eric Anderson said while all of their seniors aren't graduating this year, the majority of them are.

"We have an outstanding graduating class," said Principal Anderson. "This senior class has worked very hard and a lot of them have put themselves in great positions to receive scholarships. We have a little over $4.6 million in grants and scholarships that were awarded to this senior class. They've all done a great job and worked really hard leading their school this year."

Kierra Ryan is graduating tomorrow (Saturday) and she's one of four valedictorians from her class. She said her experiences from high school are memorable.

"I really enjoyed it," said Ryan. "Some people say they don't like high school, but I had a ton of fun. All the different clubs and activities, like DECA and sports. Pretty much anything you can think of to get involved with."

Anderson said this is a smaller graduating class than they usually have, but he said he's proud of each and every student.

The graduation will was held at Adams Field at seven Saturday night.
