He said that he would have approached that situation differently because the county doesn’t have the money to invest in the project.
"I believe that’s one of the toughest hurdles I’ll face if I get elected. said Tensfeld.
Tensfeld also believes that due to the current state of the economy, it will only get more difficult to balance the budget over the next couple of years. He hopes to prepare the county for this financial strain by improving the commissioner’s budget planning.
Tensfeld has been the fire chief in Rosalia for twelve years and he is currently the Chairman of the Whitman County Hazard Mitigation Plan Steering Committee. Tensfeld said that his experience in working with county governments and owning a small business makes him a good candidate for this position
