DUI crash near Spokane caused by Clarkston woman crossing the center line
SPOKANE, WA - A 26-year-old Clarkston woman faces a felony vehicular assault charge after being accused of driving drunk, and this isn't the first time.

The same woman was involved in an accident that killed a young woman in 2005. Washington State Troopers said Savanna Brown caused a collision Wednesday near the town of Plaza, Washington which is about 30-minutes from Spokane.

Investigators said Brown crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming car. Two of the three people involved, including Brown, were injured and taken to a hospital.

"Well you just need to be aware and be ready to encounter one of these drivers," said WSP Trooper Jeff Sevigney. "We do our best to not have them on the roadways but as you can see these collisions do continue to occur."

In 2005, Brown was accused of vehicular manslaughter after a fatal roll-over collision. Nichole Wilson, 17, of Clarkston died in the crash.
Brown was charged with driving under the influence, however a jury found her innocent. All three minors were drinking at the time of the crash nine years ago.
