CLARKSTON, WA - The driver of a roll-over accident, that resulted in the death of a Lewiston girl , appeared in court Monday morning for a second bond review.

Gilberto Alex Garcia, 20, was driving near Clarkston Heights when his vehicle rolled over, ejecting 16-year-old Ashley Nelson from the car and killing her.

Garcia's bond was set at $50,000 following his arrest and he was denied a bond adjustment by Judge Acey a week ago. However, Defense Attorney Nicholas George presented supporting letters from members of the community Monday morning and Judge Acey lowered his bond to $25,000.

Garcia also waived his right to a speedy trial, resulting in a 90 day continuance set for October 22nd. Garcia pleaded not guilty to one count of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault. His drug and alcohol test results are still pending.
