School board of directors hire outside consultant to replace Rapp

LEWISTON, ID - An outside party will assist in the search to replace Lewiston School District Superintendent Joy Rapp.

Thursday night, The School Board discussed the time frame and necessary steps to take in finding the replacement for long-time Superintendent Rapp. During the meeting, A motion was passed to hire a selection consultant, who's in charge of finding qualified candidates for the position.

"$8,000 to $10,000 is expensive but hopefully we will get another superintendent that going to be here for a length of time," said Board of Directors President Brenda Forge.

Time is of the essence for the school board since they hope to have someone hired by the end of April. Joy Rapp has served for 20-years as Superintendent for the Lewiston Independent School District. Rapp is leaving the district for retirement.
