Ballots being counted for Latah county school levies

MOSCOW, ID - The results are in as three local school districts across Latah County asked tax-payers to head to the polls Tuesday, to vote on supplemental levies.

The Potlatch Superintendent said they're running their election a little early this year because the district is barely getting by with the funding they currently have.

Here are the latest numbers: for the Genesee district, which includes votes from Nez Perce and Latah county, 179 said yes, while 95 are saying no. In Kendrick, which includes Nez Perce, Clearwater, and Latah county voters, 246 voters said yes, while 150 said no.
In Potlatch, which includes just Latah county, it was a close one. 387 voters said yes and 384 said no to more funding. These are the final un-official numbers, until county officials inspect the ballots on Monday March 18th.
