Clarkston City Council want closed meeting to discuss funding for Aquatic Center
CLARKSTON, WA - The Asotin County Commissioners consider their response to a letter from the Clarkston City Council regarding a meeting request.
Awhile back the commissioners asked to meet with the city council to discuss the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center and it's funding. The commissioners suggested an open forum based on feedback they received at a town hall meeting. The council responded by saying that a meeting open to the public would not be suitable as they want to discuss more issues than just the aquatic center.
"If this is the way we can get a series of meetings going, because we have to work together somehow, we have to find some common ground, then I'm in favor of having a meeting with them," said Asotin County Commissioner Brian Shinn.
The commissioners are writing back to the council saying they want a moderated meeting and want a list of all issues that are being brought to discussion before they step into the meeting.

Of course Clarkston wants a "private" meeting with the County Commissioners, because they are afraid of the public. They know what they did as far as the tax money (voted for & intended only for the center) was underhanded and sneaky. They also know how the public feels about this. I hope Scott Broyels is successful in getting each one of them either thrown out or recalled. Most of us "public" are sick and tired of city, county, and state officials being so crooked and out for themselves instead of doing what they were voted in to do, work for US... Clarkston officials--do what's right and give back the money that we "voted" in for the aquatic center, and STOP being so dang corrupt...
