Charles Capone, of Moscow, is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court in Coeur d'Alene Tuesday at 1:30 for that hearing. He's charged with two counts of felon in possession of a firearm. Capone is Anderson's estranged husband and was the last person to reportedly see her before she disappeared. He told investigators he saw her in Moscow on April 16th. She has not been seen since. A task force continues to investigate her disappearance.
Court documents indicate Anderson and Capone were married in 2009. Anderson filed for divorce in January claiming that Capone strangled and shoved her.
Capone was arrested on the federal charges after police say they found a 40 caliber Glock pistol, a Remington 270 caliber rifle and a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun in his possession. He was convicted of crimes punishable by imprisonment exceeding one year; specifically, aggravated assault and burglary in 1998 in Latah County and bank larceny in 1997. Those convictions meant he was not allowed to possess a firearm.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He is being held without bail in the Boundary County Jail.
