It's the brainchild of Tiffany Rasmussen and her husband. The duo was inspired by similar coffee shops in Seattle, where some baristas wear little more than a smile. "My husband and I have wanted to own a business for years, and the coffee business just seemed like a fun one."
Some people might shake their heads at the thought of young women serving coffee in bikinis. However, these girls believe it's a sign of the times.
Barista Stephanie Bayless says, "It's just bikinis. If you float down the Boise River, if you go to Lucky Peak, if you go to Roaring Springs, you're gonna see girls in bikinis. It's the exact same thing. We're just serving coffee."
Some girls say, when they're not blending, steaming and greeting, they're hitting the books at Boise State. "I'm a law enforcement major. Hopefully, I want to work for the police department or somewhere in government eventually," says Bayless.
Owners believe it's a way to separate their business from the competition. "I really hope that people look at it for what it is, which is just, you know, having fun and adding a different twist to coffee," says Rasmussen.
Besides bikinis, "Hotties, Mochas and More" plans on having other themed days during the winter and football season.
An official grand opening is planned for next week.
