LEWISTON - Lewiston Police are investigating a child pornography case.

Police said a search warrant was served Tuesday at 3128 7th Street C. Due to the department's participation on the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, they were able to trace child pornography back to a local IP address.

Police said they found almost 40 child porn files on a computer. Police seized a laptop, a desktop, a net book along with several other electronic devices.

Police said they had interviewed a suspect and that pending a full forensic scan of the items, they will file charges of child exploitation.
