Whitman County Sheriff's deputies said they were dispatched to a residence in St. John early Friday morning on a trespassing call. When they arrived they found two people who were not authorized to be on the premises. Skyler Sullivan and Amber Moore were arrested for trespassing. Moore was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Sullivan was held on a $10,000 dollar bond and Moore was released on her own recognizance.
But the story doesn't end there. That night around 8:30 p.m. deputies were again dispatched to St. John for a burglary in progress. Witnesses at the scene told them a woman arrived in a taxi, entered the home through a window and left in a blue pickup.
Police stopped a vehicle matching the description and found Moore was behind the wheel. Deputies said an investigation revealed stolen property from the Friday night break-in, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. It was also determined she hadn't paid for her taxi ride from Colfax to St. John.
Moore was also found in violation of her release on the Friday morning trespassing charge.
She was booked into the Whitman County Jail.
