ASOTIN - The trial of an accused child rapist is scheduled for Monday.

Rex Gregory is facing a child rape charge along with four counts of child molestation in the first degree and one count of kidnapping with sexual motivation in Asotin County Superior Court.

The trial was set to begin last week but defense attorney Richard Laws became ill. Monday morning a status hearing was held and it was determined that the case will be ready to go to trial Monday.
