GRANGEVILLE (AP) — Second District Judge John H. Bradbury has authorized a Portland, Ore.-based company administering the assets of the defunct Three Rivers Mill in Kamiah to sell the mill's timberland.

Bradbury ruled that Iverness Inc. could sell the land to Bennett Forest Industries of Grangeville or Minnaloosa Land Co. of Hayden, depending on which company had the highest bid.

The minimum sale price is $225,000.

Bradbury also directed Inverness to pay $6,500 to Elk Mountain logging company of Grangeville for unpaid debts.

Inverness has also asked that Bradbury allow it to begin selling the mill's equipment and other assets, but a decision has not yet been made on that.
