On Friday, the dental office of Bailey and Simmons got involved.
"You know in the dental industry you see a lot of kids that need help that don't necessarily qualify for help," said Dr. Rich Bailey. "I just kind of blindly walked into this project last year and I like it. I just really feel like we help a lot of people."
The program is for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade and sponsored by the Regence Caring Foundation for Children, Public Health-Idaho and Delta Dental.
Jill Garner said the program allowed her daughter to learn healthy practices at an early age, that she might otherwise miss.
"I really appreciate the generosity and the ability to be able to come in without having to pay the extra fees," said Garner.
Alyssa Garner was told she needs to floss more, but in general was happy with skipping some school to visit the dentist Friday morning.
"I like the dentist," said Alyssa.
"Hopefully these early dental experiences plant a seed in their minds, so they know this is something that needs to be taken care of for the rest of their lives," said Bailey.
If your child missed out Friday, there are plenty of other clinics being offered in the area this month.
