LEWISTON - The Lewiston Police Department and the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office held a pinning ceremony for reserves Wednesday night.

The LPD Training Center was filled with police officers, family members and friends of nine new reserve officers and deputies being sworn into duty.

Three men were awarded badges for the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office reserves and five other men and one woman were pinned as part of the Lewiston reserves.

All new reserves went through a Level 2 Reserve Academy which was jointly sponsored by the LPD and the Sheriff's Office.
