LEWISTON - A Lewiston man found guilty of sexual abuse was sentenced to at least 25 years for his crimes this week.

Wednesday Harold Grist Jr. was sentenced to 15 years for sexual abuse and battery charges and another 10 years to life for 7 counts of lewd conduct.

Grist was found guilty for a second time in October after the Idaho Supreme court overturned a previous conviction. The original guilty verdict was thrown out in January because the trial judge had allowed the jury to hear testimony about prior sex abuse allegations.

In his new trial, a jury found Grist guilty on all ten counts for his abuse of a girl over an 8-year period starting when she was 10-years-old.
