RIGGINS – The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office says a stabbing in Riggins led to the arrest of a Riggins man on a charge of aggravated battery.

On Sunday night, at around 6 p.m. the dispatch center received a report of a man that had been stabbed in the neck.

Deputy Fred Carey responded to the location at Riggins Manor and found 37-year-old Riggins resident Carl Antonucci being tended to by Riggins Ambulance personnel.

Antonucci claimed that while in his apartment, he had been attacked by another Riggins man.

Deputy Carey and Cpl. Jonny Wilson made contact with the other party in the dispute who also appeared to have been involved in an altercation and had requested medical personnel.

Antonucci was transported to Syringa General Hospital in Grangeville.

After reviewing the evidence at the scene and witness statements, Antonucci was arrested for aggravated battery upon his release from Syringa Hospital.
