Police: man who reported crime, committed it
By Anne HardingMOSCOW - An employee who reported an armed robbery at the Moscow Movie Gallery in September has been arrested by police for his alleged involvement in the crime. Hunter Hursh told police a Hispanic male came into the store while he was working on September 19, showed a pistol and demanded money. Police say he told them the man concealed his face with a handkerchief and took off with $848. Police said that on Tuesday an informant came forward and told them Hursh and his roommate had staged the robbery for the money. Based on the information a search warrant was obtained for Hursh's West A Street residence. The search recovered an air soft pistol believed to be used in the staged robbery along with a flat screen TV allegedly stolen during a burglary on East Palouse River Drive. After being interrogated Hursh was arrested for burglary, grand theft possession and giving a false police report. Police said his roommate could also face charges. The case remains under investigation. Most Popular |
