Big fish was 17.81 pounds

LEWISTON – The 2009 Snake-Clearwater Steelhead Derby wrapped up Saturday, with the winner, Mike Davis, landing a fish that weighed in at 17.81 pounds. Davis won the big grand prize of $2,000.
Robert Bass took both 2nd and 3rd place with fish of 16.1 and 15.93 pounds, winning $750. And Michael Poirier came in 4th with a 15.84 lb. steelhead. His prize was $100. There were also daily prizes for heaviest fish. The youth winners were Carly Schacher winning with a 11.29 pound fish, followed by Noah Norwood (11.07) and Caleb Curry (5.9). 606 fish were weighed during the derby |
