LEWISTON – The money will helping keep food in the bowls and the dogs and cats healthy.
This Saturday is the fourth annual Lewis-Clark Animal Shelter Huts for Mutts dinner and auction. There will be over 80 items up for auction including an ATV, two trips, a helicopter ride, and of course, huts. "We have at least seven different dog houses that are being built," said Shelter Director Kip Varner. "I am saying dog houses, but there will also be some cat condos. But we will have at least seven structures that are being built by Lewiston High School, Clarkston High School, Asotin High School and then some individuals." Dinner tickets are $20 each. There will be both a live and silent auction. Varner said this is their biggest fundraiser of the year. "This is a huge fundraiser. It's a lot of fun. We have a lot of animal lovers there and we are able to socialize and talk, visit. We are going to have some awards that we are going to hand out," said Varner. Huts for Mutts is at the Red Lion's Warrior Ballroom. Tickets are available by calling the shelter. |
