Veterans, active duty military eat free Wednesday

LEWISTON - Active duty military personnel and veterans get free meals at local restaurants Wednesday.

Applebee's restaurants in Lewiston and Moscow are offering free lunch or dinner to service personnel and vets.

And Happy Day Corporation is also offering great deals to military personnel and veterans.

You can get a free combo meal at their Quad Cities Taco Time, Arby's and A and W restaurants.

And you can get $8.00 off the meal of your choice at Tomato Brothers, Main Street Grill, Zany Graze and Southway Pizzeria. (Excluding alcohol and To Go orders.)

There are a number of ways to provide proof of service:

- Valid veteran and active Duty Identification to obtain discount
- U.S. Uniform Service Identification card
- U.S. Uniform Service Retired Identification Card
- Current Leave and Earnings Statement LES
- Veterans Organization card i.e. American Legion and VFW
- Photograph in Uniform
- Wearing Uniform
- DD214
- Citation or Commendation

Applebee's said military issued dog tags may also be used as proof of service.
